  • After arriving in Las Vegas at about 10:30pm, my girlfriend and I took the bus to the Rental Car HUB, if you will, on Gilespie st. Upon arriving, my experience with Thrifty was HORRIBLE!!!! I had waited in line for two hours... and eventually I didn't even "qualify" to rent their vehicle, even though I was told by a saleswoman that they do not run credit checks, when using a debit card... soo... yea... So, I went across the terminal to Alamo, and ... QUITE THE DIFFERENCE!!! All they asked me for was an itinerary and my dropoff date, a couple other quick questions, and I was on my way!!! It did cost me about $40 more than thrifty's quote for the week, but I was happy to pay it, and finally begin my vacation. If you have less than perfect credit, I highly recommend renting a vehicle from this Alamo, if you're touching down at mccarran airport.
