I wanted so badly to like this place, but it was not to be. The classes have a nice variety to them, and the space is generally clean, but I had issues with the overall atmosphere. I had different instructors say in several classes that we should not rest, and if we wanted to rest we should just step out of the class (This is in contradiction to the usual "rest on your mat until you can join us again" approach). I was also told to push myself in certain poses (and not in a "you can do it way", but in a "don't be lazy way"). As someone with previous injuries that can be triggered by pushing myself too much too fast, I didn't appreciate this undertone of judgement.
I also found that the staff seem to find it an inconvenience when you ask them questions and sometimes ignore you to talk with the more "yogi looking" regulars about their recent yoga retreats.
So all in all, the space did not feel very welcoming or understanding of those who want to practice at their own pace. Seems to be the embodiment of yogi elitism. It may be the right fit for some, but perhaps not for those like myself who are looking for a more inclusive and non-judgmental space.
