Walked through the Cosmopolitan, very pretty strung with strings of shiny beads or crystals yet fairly understated for a LV hotel. The art through the small restaurant is everywhere even the ceiling of the women's room: Warholish glass hangings of an adorable pig dressed up like a cow, paintings of more of these pigs along with cows. Reminiscent of cartoons or tatoos, the pigs encourage the eating of beef although I'm not sure why they would be dressed up like the cows. A local tattoo artist did all the art giving the restaurant a casual gallery feel. Arrived at 11 opening on a Saturday and were seated right away. Tables were very close to full when we left at noon.
Popcorn in a metal pail was on the table. The server immediately offered and brought waters for the table on the 115 degree day. The Classic Burger was very good, juicy and served with a metal pail of fries and a requested side of fresh jalapenos. The Gold Standard Burger for a few more dollars had upgraded toppings - smoked bacon and aged goat cheddar making a big difference in taste between the two - as well as a slightly better advantage from the dry aged sirloin. The burgers and fries were very good. Serious Eats lists this as the best burger in Vegas and it may be as I've not tried others. The sliders looked a bit drier than the bigger burgers as usual. The fries were fine. I would have liked to try more items including the sweet potato fries. The prices are resort-like as you might expect - $14 for classic burger and fries. The kid meal came with a very standard vanilla sundae. The ketchup threw me off as it was not Heinz.
The service was perfect.
