  • The worst thing to happen to air travel out of Cleveland was the merger of Continental with United Airlines. First, the service is poor. The food is overpriced and the fresh food usually runs out just behind first class. Boxes of dried fruits and cheese? Really? The United planes are old and poorly maintained. We were flying to Hawaii via LAX. Based upon the United website, the planes we were flying should have had a 100% chance of having Direct TV or inflight movies. The flight home from LAX had neither. Flight attendants were generally rude. Rules about carry on baggage were not enforced on full flights. Boy I miss the excellent service of Continental already.
