| - I ordered some peonies for my girlfriend a week back. When I arrived, I was the only one in the store, and it took almost 10 minutes for them to "find" the flowers. I am guessing they made up the very simple bouquet during that time.
My real concern, however, was with the flowers themselves. Of the three peonies, two were open and one was half-open. One of the flowers started falling apart as soon as I opened the plastic, and the half-open one remained that way. The other was, and still is, beautiful. I don't know too much about flowers, but my guess is that it's generally the aim (especially in a bouquet of three flowers) for all three to be roughly on the same level in terms of life-span. I feel like the three flowers were at very different stages.
This was Mother's Day weekend, so I'm sure they were slammed, but these flowers were sort of duds.
