I like the value of this place - everything is fine unless you've been spoiled from nicer places like Venetian, Bellagio or Wynn. This is best as a 21 year old who doesn't care so much about the luxury accommodations - you won't find electric curtain buttons on your nightstand and if you never had them before you won't know to miss them.
Hotel: there is a worse older tower that used to be the Holiday Inn. I beieve this tower does have the redeeming factor of windows that open. There is the newer tower that has better rooms but windows don't open at all. If you get a room toward Carnival Court good luck sleeping early. There is pounding music/DJ stuff till the late hours. Resort fees like everywhere.
Gaming: I've had good experiences here. The Total Reward program gives generously toward discounted rooms.
Drinking: Carnival court has flare bartenders. Fun to watch. There is a piano bar with talented musicians that you can enjoy from the casino area.
Food: Flavors Buffet always great.
Overall a good choice. Unbeatable location. Probably one of the lowes price hotels center strip... Imperial Palace (now the Linq) is probably even more expensive these days after the remodel... and I have less love for that place than this place. No matter what kind of remodel the Linq will always have a horrible maze like layout and slow elevators. Choose Harrahs over the Linq any day even if its $30 more/night.
