| - Let me just start by saying i felt so strongly about this company I created this yelp account specifically to write this review.
My first visit to this shop was Monday, I went in and was immediately assisted by a gentleman named Mike. I explained to him I was recently rear ended and was looking to get a good faith estimate on what repairs were needed to ensure my car was in the condition it was prior to the accident. He accompanied me outside and proceeded to look over my car, climbing underneath and looking under the plastic bumper to see if there was any visible underlying damage. (You could already see the clip to hold the plastic bumper on was broken and the bumper is pushed down.) He explained to me that my reinforcement bar (the metal bumper behind the plastic) was bent and that my energy absorber was also damaged. He went on to further explain that it appeared to him, though he couldn't not definitively say without taking it apart, that the rebar inside was also bent. He went inside and wrote up an estimate with the needed repairs that totaled about $1300. After speaking over the needed repairs with the other party involved it was determined the best course of action would be to handle the claim through the insurance company, so I contacted the insurance company who confirmed the service king location I had visited was a certified repair center they partner with, they explained all I needed to do was go down there and allow them to take pictures and send over the estimate and they would get it taken care of.
However upon returning to the SAME EXACT LOCATION ON THE VERY NEXT DAY, I was advised they needed to do a whole new assessment/estimate to send over. This took about 30 minutes if my time, wasted, for something that their staff already did yesterday... In addition to the fact that the gentleman came back and explained to me the only thing being replaced was the $45 plastic clip which holds the bumper on, followed by the exact statement of "I think we can... poooossibly get away with just repurposing the plastic bumper cover." Sounds reassuring right?? And how about all those other things that were advised to me were damaged, just yesterday, that needed replacement? Well, you guessed it, there was NO MENTION of ANY of those items in his estimate. Now, don't get me wrong, I'd love for there to me LESS damage to my car, especially being that I have two children under the age of 5 who ride in it everyday, but how is it, that just yesterday, all these things needed replacement, that now the next day, are magically better, yet, nobody has worked on my vehicle? If you ask me the damage is the damage regardless of who's pocket book the cost is coming out of. I need my car back to the way it was prior to being hit. So I left this shop feeling as if they were either trying to rip me off on Monday (by over quoting repairs that really were not needed), OR, they were trying to rip me off on Tuesday (by cutting corners since they're a partner with the insurance company) because both of their estimates, being COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, cannot be written in good faith when nothing on my vehicle has changed. They did not show me any concern for my best interest or safety, rather that all that matters to their company is the bottom line. The $.
Needless to say, I will NOT be having this company do the repairs to my vehicle and will be letting everyone I know of the unsatisfactory and shady business practices that take place here.
