ALERT: Do Not Add REMCO TRANSMISSION PUMP TO YOUR TOW VEHICLE!!!!!!!
I am now in Texas having my 3rd pump replaced in my vehicle!!!
Cliffs Welding is not your advocate !!! Just because my warranty had expired I only had 5700 miles on the pump. When I called Remco's customers service line I was told send it in. I had already paid over 500 dollars to have it replaced. ( I was NEVER given the option to send the pump in till I insisted and on my dime). YES it was deemed defected! No money back. So far I have problems with this system stopping in New Mexico and now in Texas. The monitor does alarm first finding corroded ground wires which I had repaired. Again it only worked for a short period of time. Thanks Cliff Welding it's reflects on your lack of quality work. Really after only a year of operation?
No company that services this inferior product dare recommends it be use in any tow vehicle.
So instead of reimbursement I have been driving around w the pump in my car. Oh by the way I was told it only has shelf life of 2 years. What !!
Cliffs Welding did not teach us how to probably attach of tow vehicle to our hitch we are learning that today.
So we are now held up in Houston for days thanks to REMCO we are going to now replace the third pump and pressure sensor switch. And will say this is not operator error I was later asked"Have you run the pump at least every 3 months? There is nothing in the manual addressing this! I will probably end up spending hundreds of dollars for labor and parts. In my RAV4 the bumper must be removed for access adding to the cost of repair.
And don't forget the cost of staying at the only RV Park close to your authorized dealer.
Do yourself a favor, Stay away from Cliffs Welding and REMCO products.
Good Luck
