My insurance policy with Bristol West began in April 2016, monthly rate was about $90. The lady that set me up was very friendly and made the process really easy. Over 2 years I have had to call for several reasons, just to be told " their systems aren't working or they are with another customer. Over time the price began to increase to $116 for liability on an old 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, that i barely drove. I began calling to see what I can do to get the price down. Calling the office became an issue as they always have to " call me back because they are helping another customer". Hours would go by, no call back. I would have to call over and over just to get a response. I shouldnt have to badger any company for them do their jobs. I got so fed up with the horrible customer service and the high prices, I decided to call around for prices. I was able to get a new policy with StateFarm for 60 monthly. I cancel my policy 9 days before the monthly premium was due. Why did i receive a check for $1.62. I just called inquiring why my check was so low especially when i cancelled my policy early. The representative told me seeing how i cancelled my policy early they get a 9% prorated amount.
So let me get this straight, the company is awful to deal with which lead me search for a new insurance provider and i get penalized for cancelling early?
Piece of advice for anyone interested in insurance DO NOT use this office due to horrendous customer service and extremely high prices. i had to give them a star but wouldn't if i had an choice. Worst insurance company ever.
