  • I was excited to try this place after a coworker kept telling me how great it was. I went on a Saturday afternoon and waited about 30 minutes to be seated. People kept getting in line so I figured the wait must be worth it. While in line, I couldn't help noticing that there were 3 hostesses/cashiers just chit chatting about their drunken shenanigans from the night before. Not very professional but I wasn't there for them... I was there for the food! When we were finally seated, a lovely gentleman came by and got our drink order. The server took about 10 minutes to come to our table. Longer than I would have liked, but again I wanted to try this food. My companion and I ordered two separate dishes with the intention of sharing. I ordered the Sandi Omelet (bacon, cheddar cheese, green pepper, and sour cream) with homefries. My companion ordered the steak and eggs. We both ordered the cinnamon raisin pot of bread. The gentleman that took our drink order brought us our coffee and checked on us more than our server. His service was perhaps the best part of our visit. Cinnamon Raisin Pot of Bread- was disappointing. It was dry and had no raisins on the inside which leads me to believe it's the same dough as the pot of bread that's been brushed with butter and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and a few raisins before baking. Sandi Omelet- it's an Omelet that's folded over and has full size bacon strips tucked into the center. Not what I was expecting. It was an average omelet. It's saving grace was the salsa although I'm still not sure how salsa fits into the Irish theme of the restaurant. The homefries tasted as if they had been made in a large batch and were reheated. Steak and Eggs- had high hopes when I saw that they had a grill to cook their steaks. Big let down. The meat tasted as if it had been in the fridge for far too long. Otherwise cooked fine, but flavor was off. Overall, I don't think this restaurant lives up to the hype.
