| - This review is mostly for the restaurant.... They must have gotten a new chef or food/bev coordinator, because the restaurant has gone downhill SO much! We went the other week for RiverJam on Thursday-- one of our favorite summer pastimes, and we were so unpleasantly surprised that the menu had changed drastically. Not only were the prices way higher, but the food was dumbed-down to boring bar food. Cheeseburger, chicken tenders (frozen, out of a bag might I add), etc. Some of the menu items might LOOK the same as the old menu, but they were not. For example-- I got mac and cheese as a side with my sandwich because on the old menu, they had this wonderful white-cheddar mac with spiral pasta that was absolutely divine. What came out of the kitchen this past Thursday was orange, congealed, and so mushy that I couldn't even stomach it. It was overcooked EasyMac. My husband got a burger that was very unimaginative, and had canned chili on top. You used to be able to get interesting, yummy, unique food options and have a full meal for 8-12 bucks. Now, the food is so much worse, and the entrees range from 13-15 (for a burger/sandwich) to 17-26 for a more substantial entrée. The sweet potato fries were soggy and clearly not home-cut. Everything we ate was bad. I am so disappointed because I used to LOVE having friends in town, and we would rave about the affordable, scrumptious restaurant at the WWC. Now, the food is on par with Carowinds or some other amusement park type location. Sigh.
