  • I met Dr Shipon about a year ago only three months after my 2nd back surgery. I had L5-S1 spinal fusion then blood clot in my spine 5 weeks after fusion. She gave me different pain medication that I had never tried wanting me to get off my narcotic medication that I had been on for over 4 yrs. I knew what worked for me so i politely declined to switch. She then cut the amount to less than half, possibly forcing my body to go into withdraws. She then explained that at 4 mo's post op, I should be feeling better and not need as much medication. If you have ever had a surgery, then you know that Everyone heals differently. She categorized everyone the same which is Crazy for someone who want to help with Pain!! I see Dr Tom and Jessica at NovaSpine, they are Amazing and I highly recommend them!! Please don't wait, get yourself the correct help!
