We all know dealerships need to make money. So when I rate them at 3 stars in the sales area it's for a reason. I bought two cars from Earnhardt, both within 30 days apart and like others..... I had to walk out after telling them what I wanted to pay and not getting it. Not only did I walk out on the first deal they made me do it on the second deal until they gave me what I wanted. Once we got past that-everything was smooth. I have to say, I have bought a couple Toyota's at another dealer in Scottsdale and NEVER had to pull the " I am walking out card". I have always worked with the fleet group for that reason. They give you the lowest price on the new car and the best trade price.... It sucks I had to do that because all of my financing was done prior and I had a check in hand for both of my purchases. Back to my point, all dealers need to make money. They are going to get those people who come in and pay retail MSRP but I won't. After haggling to get what I wanted, they sold and Tundra and a Scion so I am happy. Don't waste your time showing up and playing games in the sales area. Call ahead and talk to the fleet department. They will get you 1200 under invoice or more depending on the vehicle. "don't quote me on this but between my two cars and helping my Grandma buy a car from them that's the deal we got (Other than scions...they have set pricing)!" John and Nigel were great...... ask for them when you call.
Now onto their service, I have to give them 5 stars because just prior to my purchase of my 2014 Tundra I had my Tacoma looked at. I had my TPMS blinking and Discount said that it was a faulty sensor and the computer needed to be reset and only at Toyota dealer. Since it was a simple fix on the sensor I called ahead and took it in. After looking at it the found it was faulty and they didn't charge me. I called Big Two Toyota and they wanted $80+ just to look at it and see what was wrong.....Earnhardt even walked me back to the shop to have me talk to the Toyota Mechanic who was extremely helpful.
Thanks John Engen & Nigel Narain.
