D lux decor is a welcome escape from the Wisconsin Tavern scene around the square courtesy of Food Fight. FF does an amazing job of creating spot on ambience and this has the elegance of a big city lounge. No complaints with our waitress or the drinks. Now to the food, where FF often lacks. The menu is hipster cool. Sea salt fries and an order of blue cheese bacon fries, meh. Barely warm and odd texture, not sure if that had to do with the lack of heat or not. Here's where I diverge into two very different experiences from my companion. He is a carnivore and loves burgers. Ordered the Farmhouse burger, unfortunately you can not specify how you want it done. He loved it. He thinks it is definitely a top contender in the burger world. My meal, same version but with the chicken patty. Which isn't a real piece of chicken breast, but an on-site grinding and reforming of high quality chicken, according to our waitress. I would prefer a real chicken breast.
