  • On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give this place a 0.5. I chose this place simply because a friend had recently moved there and she hadn't had any problems (yet). The Fairways at Piper Glen is just a short walk to the most divine amenities...Trader Joe's, Starbucks, yogurt, the Greenway, a pharmacy, and a host of other dining and novelty shops. The rest...downright disgraceful and sometimes hazardous. The Fairways at Piper Glen has the audacity to offer nothing less than a 1 year lease...that is because as soon as you move in and you see how they operate, you will want to move out the very next day. They lead you to believe that it's a pleasant place to live and they have the same "standards" as what you would expect a place in that area to have but it is FAR from pleasant. Maintenance requests are NEVER a priority. They say your request will be addressed in 48 hours or less and all 6-8 of the maintenance issues we had in our brief 4 month stay were taken care of in about 4 days or more. The WORST was when we left town for 6 days, only to return to the clogged sink with food and standing water that I reported 2 days before we left still there. How disgusting is that! Is that not a health code violation??? #2. Office does not accept packages of any kind. If you are an avid online shopper then this place is a nightmare...frequent trips to the P.O. and lots of chasing around of UPS and FedEx because no driver feels comfortable leaving your package at the door. A total annoying mess. #3: No communication. After we were shown our apartment and detached garage Thursday evening (when they promised us the keys) we signed the lease only to find out they still would not give us the keys because we were scheduled to move in Saturday morning. I rushed home from work with my husband and 2 kids in tow only to sign the lease and not receive keys. To make matters worse, we show up Saturday for the keys and they gave us a totally different garage than the one we viewed on Thursday! Complete waste of my time and efforts. #4: A month after we moved in, they decided to give us a 24 hour notice of the siding being repaired and that we were not to park in our garages or use our balconies for the entire time this work was being done. If I wanted an apartment without a garage and balcony, then maybe I would have lived somewhere else. After 3 weeks of this noise and total mess and disturbance, I had to ASK them to prorate my rent! Also, I am more than sure they knew they were going to replace the siding when I signed the lease. That is information I should have been privy too prior to signing the lease. #5: The mother of ALL DISGRACES at this place: The detached garage. Remember I said they shoved us in a different garage at the last second? Well now I know why it was vacant. Upon move out, the deeper we got into the garage to remove our belongings the more roaches and spiders we discovered. Not only that, half of our things were in STANDING WATER AND COVERED IN MOLD!!!!!!! This was obviously a known issue and they neglected to disclose this to us prior to moving our belongings in. When I contacted management about this, the regional manager said it was NOT their problem to replace my belongings and I should have taken out renters insurance. Is it not an apartment's duty to provide a sustainable building to protect me, my family, and our possessions?..a dwelling that is free of pests and water damage? I could not believe that they accepted zero responsibility for the damages and I just was at a loss for words when the regional manager tried to justify it by saying, "It floods in the office all the time when it rains, it may have come in through the bricks. It did rain 35 of the last 42 days..".. Oh OK well that explains it, thanks! I WARN EVERY PERSON WHO IS READING THIS...DO NOT TAKE THIS REVIEW LIGHTLY. IT GETS WORSE. THIS PLACE DOES NOT RESPECT THEIR TENANTS OR YOUR BELONGINGS. THE RENT IS CHEAP AND I STILL BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE EVEN LOWER! I WAS FOOLED BY THE LOCATION. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND JUST PAY A LITTLE BIT MORE FOR HIGHER STANDARDS. THE FAIRWAYS AT PIPER GLEN SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE. I WANT TO SAVE ANYONE I POSSIBLY CAN FROM LIVING HERE.
