| - Flirty Girl Fitness can be amazing - there's a great selection of classes, and most of them are very challenging regardless of your fitness level (i.e., you can easily scale them up or down in intensity). In terms of instructors, Eneli's class is one of the hardest workouts you'll get; Tara's boxing class is challenging and fun; I also really enjoyed Karey's GI Jane and Kickass cardio classes.
Some may balk at the price, but there are usually plenty of deals that they offer. Save money with the punch cards or the memberships. If you get the student deal on the 1 year membership, it works out to only $70-ish a month.
That being said, I did end up leaving after a few months due to injuring myself several times (e.g. sprained ankles, pulled hamstrings, etc.). Mind you, I'm already prone to ankle injuries, but there were a few things about FGF that made an injury far more likely. Because the classes are so large, you don't get in-depth instruction or supervision; it's too easy to end up doing things incorrectly. Also, some classes are too fast paced - the Women with Weights class involves throwing around small-ish weights with TONS of repetitions (pretty useless for building muscle anyhow) at a quick pace - an injury waiting to happen for anyone. The workouts are also heavily based in plyometrics (jumping) for the most part, so keep that in mind if you have ankle or knee issues.
I would still recommend trying it out - it could definitely be a good fit for a lot of women.
