  • The film fest organizers are welcoming and truly dedicated to making the event a fulfilling experience. Your badge has a color indicator which designate your role in film (e.g. producer, actor, director, screen writer, etc) which provides an easy opening to strike up conversations with fellow attendees. This is my second year going and I took opportunity to catch up with people I met in the prior year and make new contacts this year. I did give four out of five stars for the atmosphere. The hotel bar is a fine place to have a drink and mingle, but I advise going elsewhere for food. Our group ended up going to the Hudson town center and had a much better meal elsewhere. I had a hard time choosing between attending seminars, chatting with people and attending screening. The panel discussions on acting, directing, sound engineering, etc. got my attention and I walked away with useful information. It was a long drive from Philadelphia to Hudson, OH, but I'm glad I made and plan to return next year.
