  • My favorite restaurant in Las Vegas! Everytime I've come, I've been amazed at how they could make food taste the way they do. There honestly hasn't been one thing that I haven't liked on their menu. Thankfully I was able to visit again this Valentine's Day. Currently my top two favorite items: Foie Gras Custard Brulee w/ Kumquat & Salted Brioche: Okay, this dish is just unreal. It tasted like a savory Cinnabun lol. Very creamy and rich, with the softest brioche bread I've had. I could have this as an appetizer & again as a dessert. Ultimate fave right now. Wagyu Beef Tartare: Crushed Caper Aioli, Slow Poached Egg and Crispy Chocolate. There has not been a tartare that I've tasted that has come even close to how Sage's version taste like. The boyfriend always tries to convince me to get two when we come lol. Some other faves: Braised Veal Cheeks: Black Garlic Glaze, Black Trumpet Mushroom, Savory Corn Cake. These veal cheeks pretty much have the same texture as clouds. Soo tender. Maine Day Boat Scallops: Braised Oxtail, Wild Mushrooms w/ a salted caramel reduction. I love Oxtail, I love Scallops, and I love Salted Caramel. Have I ever thought to put them together? Uh No Way. But somehow again, only at Sage, does this crazy combination work perfectly. Grilled Spanish Octopus: Bloomsdale Spinach, Chorizo Aioli , Marcona Almond Romesco. This one is one of my boyfriend's faves. The Chorizo Aioli is definitely what makes this dish for me. The Octopus was cooked perfectly and my boyfriend mentioned that it didn't have a weird aftertaste like some other Octopus dishes we've tried elsewhere. Roasted Veal Sweetbreads: Glazed Bacon, Creamy White Polenta & Trumpet Mushrooms. I've never tried sweetbreads anywhere else and honestly I'm a little scared to lol but at Sage, nothing has ever tasted bad before so why not give these a try. I loved it. It's kind of hard to describe it in a way that sounds appetizing but it was like eating chicken flavored gnocchi. In the best way possible lol. Definitely seemed like a modern take on the southern classic: fried chicken, grits & greens. Out of the desserts we've tried: Dark Chocolate Panna Cotta, Calvados Breading Pudding, Meyer Lemon Cheesecake, and Foie Gras Candy Bar, the candy bar was by far the best. Salt & Pepper Peanut Butter Cream, Bourbon Caramel & Milk Chocolate. I also used to really like this dessert that they don't have anymore called Gianuja Pave. It had olive oil ice cream and basil jam. Sounds weird, but super creative and a fun way to end the meal.
