  • A friend of mine recommended Buoyance after a recent visit, and so I tried their iWrap Glo & Massage Bundle. I've never had anything like this before, but I really enjoyed it. Here is what was included: - 30 minute back and leg massage - 30 minute infrared heat treatment, along with a shoulder and face massage - 30 minute salt scrub on both sides (arms, legs, feet, and back) I like that Buoyance offers Sunday appointments. Bonnie works on Sundays and was just wonderful. She provided a slow and light massage (just like I asked for), and let me know what was happening at each step. While you are more exposed with this type of treatment than with a normal massage, Bonnie was always careful to have me covered. It was a nice treat to have a shower in the room so I could easily wash off the salt from my treatment. Buoyance provides soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a towel. Make sure you bring a comb if you want to wash your hair. Their floatation pod is also in this room, filled with about 10-12" of salted water. It appears circular on the outside, but there is enough room inside to stretch out and relax. I'm a little claustrophobic, and with the door closed, I'm just not sure I could handle the enclosed feeling. I don't think there are any other floatation pods in the Charlotte area, so if you want to try this unique concept, you should check out Buoyance. I thought this service was very reasonably priced at $75 for 90 minutes. Their other services are also reasonable, such as only $47 for a 60-minute massage, and $65 for a 60-minute floatation. I returned for a 90 minute massage with Lydia, and honestly, this was one of the best massages I've ever had. It's all about technique, and Lydia's was exceptional. She was slow and never rushed. I loved her! Because they are so small (and likely working), it's hard to get them on the phone, so I suggest booking online. I'll definitely return!
