  • Carowinds has been around since 1970s. The park sits along the border of North and South Carolina. This past week I went along with the 5th graders at my school for a day of fun. I've done this the last 5 years since I became an AP. My students have a blast. Carowinds is kept clean throughout the day (restaurants, restrooms, and grounds). The majority of the workers are polite in all areas. I took a star away for one reason, the prices for food and drinks. This is where the park hits your wallet. If you are not a season pass holder you will have to pay at least $20 to park.
