I had previously only been here in the daytime, so I was excited to check out the lights at night.
This is a fun tourist attraction, but keep your wits about you, the surrounding area gets sketchy quickly.
The overhead light show is free and a blast. We saw a nice patriotic clip on the overhead display, it's great considering the price.
We visited one of the nearby casinos, but the smoke smell was especially HORRIBLE compared to some of the newer Las Vegas hotels. Casinos down here are more bare bones compared to places like Bellagio.
There are various street performers on Freemont, but nobody really knocked my socks off.
We wandered into some of the junk stores and picked up some souvenirs (magnets at $1 each). Great spot to get some inexpensive t-shirts or keychains.
