  • Ordered whole jerk chicken with rice and peas and slaw for takeout. Slaw on point, rice and peas standard, but the chicken tasted like my own sorry attempts at jerk chicken (cover chicken in supermarket jerk sauce and then bake in the oven for too long). Not really spicy, not especially flavourful, pretty dry. I fed my spice-phobic 6 year old the leftovers in his lunch and he didn't make a peep. This is the kind of jerk chicken I would expect if loblaws started putting it in their hot chicken case.
