  • We decided to try Local 510 after a very popular pub down the street made us wait 20 minutes before we got menus (a hello and a beer were not included either...) It was a Monday night, so Local 510 was offering a great deal: For a burger and a beer it was under 10$... FOOD & MENU: A decent selection of appetizers (chili fries looked yummy) and pub-style mains (like sandwiches, pizzas, paninis). The 6oz burger was deliciously charbroiled with a tasty mayonnaise type dressing on a sesame bun. A share able bowl of potato and sweet potato fries was an extra side. The beer was fresh and cold; they also offered some fun cocktails. Based on their burger, I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. SERVICE: Prompt, friendly & warm. It appeared to be team-style serving. AMBIANCE: Open, yet cozy with wood decor and mid-century modern chairs. The patio was busy for a cool March evening. It's a definite a hot spot for 17th ave people watching for sure! There is a separate party room/ alcove with a large dining table that can probably seat 15-20 people comfortably. All in all, I think we've found our new watering hole on 17th ave.
