  • Our new house had a humidifier on the furnace that wasn't working. My handy dad determined that it needed a new valve of some type and a new humidistat. Looked around a bit at hardware stores but since it was an older model, nobody had the part. The good folks at Lakewood Hardware pointed us toward Air Rite - the mecca of HVAC replacement parts right in our backyard! This place is impressive. Huge store in a unique historic building (old Studebaker dealer). You can get seemingly everything - I'm sure if they don't have it, they know about it and could get it for you. The people answering the phone were knowledgeable - able to tell my dad quickly over the phone that they had the parts in stock and the prices. We went down there and picked them right up. The guy helping us was very good also - knew exactly what the problem was and gave us some pointers for the job. What more can you ask for but a place where the people are nice and really understand the products they sell? Look no further if you've got HVAC needs.
