  • Vitos is known as the best deep dish in AZ. Let me tell you. When they say deep they mean deep. You could swim in this bad boy. They throw half the kitchen in it. Sauce, cheese, bell peppers, cheese, carrots, sunken treasure, etc. One slice can fill up a full grown man. No lie. The outside crust is pretty good. After getting over the shock of the size (thats what she said) the pizza was just ok. The sauce was alright but not fabulous. And for that much sauce on one slice of pizza it should be knock out good to keep you going. The wife and I ate about 2 and a half slices and wondered what in the world will we do with the other 8. Seriously, how can people be starving out there when Vitos is making 20 lb pizzas? I have recommended this place to a couple of coworkers who live nearby it and were looking for a deep dish. I would be down to go back and try something else on the menu. From what I've read the owners have been around forever and know their stuff. Maybe that deep dish just wasnt so much for me.
