Before I start my complaint, I do want to say that I am a regular customer at Movado at the North Outlets. I purchased a watch from this location a few weeks before Christmas to give to my mom. When she tried it on, we noticed she needed extra links. My dad went back on January 5th to get extra links and the sales associate (young, tall, African American) working at the time asked, "Where did you buy this?" My dad reassured him that I bought it at that location. He had an attitude and gave my dad the number to order extra links. My dad asked the sales associate, "Why can't you order the links for us?" And the sales associate rudely said "Well, that's too much paperwork. It's easier if you just do it yourself." I ordered the links MYSELF, so they should be here in 3-5 days. I have never heard of this before. This experience made my dad completely uncomfortable and excluded, maybe because he was not dressed formally. It was not professional of this young man to assume my father did not purchase the watch at that location. And for him to refuse to order links because he did not want to be bombarded with paperwork makes me think this company does not care about customer needs. I will be emailing corporate about this.
