| - I've had pretty mixed feelings about this place. I've ordered winter tires online from TireRack to have installed here, and the first time they wanted to charge me extra to dis-mount my existing tires from my wheels. What? How is that not included in the original price?
Luckily, they figured out that they didn't have valve stems for my new wheels, so they wouldn't be able to complete the operation. They didn't charge me a thing.
I bought the valve stems from the dealer, and decided to return. This time, they were only going to charge me $50 for a winter tire changeover. MUCH better pricing! They installed my new wheels w/winter tires, and told me it was making a grinding noise but they couldn't figure it out. So I drove it, and indeed - it was making a grinding noise because the new wheels didn't have enough clearance from the brake rotors. How did they not figure this out?
So I needed to get wheel spacers. This is no fault of NTB - just bad luck with my new wheel selection. They were happy to install them for free when I came back.
Come spring, I returned to have new summer/all-seasons put on, and they unfortunately didn't give me the $50 changeover deal again, but it was still about in-line with what other in-town shops charge to do a change-over. They also quickly re-tightened my lug nuts after 30-50mi for free in the parking lot.
So, for convenience and tire needs, I'm decently satisfied. Their prices are a bit too high, it seems, but that's just about everywhere within the city limits.
