My parents just bought a house about two blocks from the Farmhouse Coffee, and it sounded pretty cool given the history of the house and everything so we went. The first thing coming in from the back was that we walked in off the Yough Trail, which was pretty cool. The garden greets you in the back and has lush trees and shade, including a koi pond. Inside there's a menu that seems pretty standard, but then it includes ice cream. It seems they have soup most days, but the only real breakfast item (other than scones and muffins) is quiche. The quiche is pretty good but it is Not homemade. It comes from a box and is microwaved. Good but not authentic. The iced white mocha wasn't very good but the house coffees are. The ice tea is pretty standard and good. The staff is friendly but one person needs to focus on a customer from A to Z. I had to reask for things I ordered from people who then disappeared into the back, and then another person would take my money and I'd have to tell them what I bought. Go here for the ambiance ... that was the best part.
Wifi is always important to me, but no one really could figure out how to get on. They gave me the password and all, but I never did succeed. If I lived around here, I'd be afraid to try to work here.
