| - I tried Duckworth's with a group of friends last night celebrating someone's birthday. We arrived around 9:15 and the place was packed. Seeing all of the people there made me excited to try the food. Surely it would be good, I thought. Wrong!
First off, our waiter put my boyfriend's order in wrong. He ordered the barbecue sandwich but somehow our waiter thought he said the Carolina burger? We brought this to the attention of our waiter who called the manager over. The manager very kindly took it off of our ticket. He had ordered the garlic fries as his side and they were so covered in garlic they were inedible. It was like someone took a spoonful of minced garlic and plopped it on top.
I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap. Which, according to the description, was supposed to have chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch, shredded cheese, and field greens. When I got the wrap I couldn't even tell it was buffalo chicken. There was no cheese to be seen and, the grossest part was that the field greens were slimy and wet...like they were scraped from the bottom of a bag. There was no crunch whatsoever. Absolutely disgusting. The fries I got were not hot, nor were they fresh from what I could tell. We brought this to the attention of the waiter, who got his manager, and the manager took it off our check, too.
We are not ones to EVER send food back or complain (we've both worked in the food industry before), but the quality of Duckworth's food was just terrible. I don't think I'll give this place another try. There are too many restaurants in that area that are much better.
