| - I started at Go Figure when I purchased a 10-pack of classes via Groupon. I had taken months of barre classes before at three different studios and found none of them had the Goldilocks "just right" feel that I was looking for -- either they were too far, unreliable (classes would cancel with little or no notice), had inconvenient class times or the instructors barked instructions nonstop and were loud and overly-enthusiastic to the point of distraction.
The minute I walked in the door at Go Figure I felt comfortable, at home, and relaxed about what lay ahead. The place is very pretty, clean and neat as a pin. There's a candle burning that's always burning with a heavenly fragrance. The front desk person is knowledgeable and welcoming. There are lockers to hold your stuff during the workout.
Kelly (the owner) is not only an amazing instructor, but a delightful person in general. The best single word I can think of to describe her personality is "sparkling". She has a very engaging sense of humor, remembers everyone's name the first time and is always happy and encouraging no matter if she's teaching a 6:00 a.m. class or a 6:30 p.m. class. Her cuing is exact and her instruction method is exciting and motivating, rather than harsh, grating or monotonous.
The studio itself is only seven months old, very comfortable and well-maintained. The equipment clean and new, and the music is fun and well-sync'd to the various routines. The workouts are always so invigorating and interesting -- never boring. The hour literally flies by, and I never find myself looking at the clock or my watch.
Kelly has recently added some awesome, advanced classes and will soon be adding more types of classes in addition to barre. I'm super-excited for those, too!
After my Groupon 10-pack was up, I signed on and am now a regular fixture in the advanced classes. I am SO glad I kept searching and didn't settle for any of the other barre studios I tried. I finally found my "just right" workout home.
