I have been with Century Link for over 10 years, but at the beginning of the year In January I called about a promotion for internet and the rep said have I tried Prism yet. He informed me that I could get both internet and Prism for less than what I was paying for internet and cable TV, so I signed up....what a nightmare! My first bill was over $400.00 when I called they said they didn't bill me for the first month, so it is two months. Really? $400.00 for 2 months. I paid it and they said I would get a credit for the error. Next month my bill was over $500.00 after making calls every month for several months about the incorrect billing, I cancelled Prism, but kept my internet. It is now almost December....almost a year and they can't get my bill right even for just the internet! They sent me a modem which I told the rep I did not want, so I sent it back. I am trying to cancel my entire service with Century Link but now I am being told I am in the 5th month of a 12 month commitment because I upgraded when they sent the modem. I didn't request it or the upgrade! The rep offered it to me when again I had to call about my bill.
I have to be on the phone with them every month, and I really don't have the time! I just finished with them with no resolution, so tomorrow.....more of my time I will call the Escalation Dept, and hopefully get it cancelled.
Don't use this company. Their billing is a mess!
