| - Psst! I found a place to get some good herb. Noooo, not that kind of herb. I'm talking about parsley, basil, mint, and the like.
Located next to the parking lot for Fiesta Farms supermarket, this nursery stocks pretty much everything you need for your home garden with a special emphasis on organic products. The space is well laid out with clear signs for Annuals, Vegetables, Herbs, etc.
I picked up a big bag of organic potting soil ($9.99 for 30L) and an equally big bag of organic compost ($6.99) for my tomato plants.
I also got some beach pebbles sold by weight ($0.22/kg) to provide drainage for the trough of herbs I'm about to start. The selection of organic herbs is extraordinary. I got a potted cilantro plant for $3.99 so I can have fresh sprigs of it anytime I want (instead of discovering that the stuff I bought at the market has turned to a wad of black mush in the fridge).
They also sell bags of cow manure, gravel, peastone, and gardening accessories like planters, gloves, and watering cans. This place gets slammed on weekends so go midweek to avoid long waits at the checkout.
I've always had a black thumb but Fiesta Farms Garden Centre has inspired me to grow something other than fuzzy mold on my bread.
