  • Much better than Shaker Hardware. I called Shaker Hardware and told them I had just bought a used recliner and I asked if, while it was already it in my truck, could I stop by and get some help regarding what I need to do and buy to fix it. Shaker Hardware said no, they couldn't help me today since they were closing at 2PM. I was calling at 11 AM. Weak. In contrast, I called Van Aken Hardware and they said "Sure. No problem. Bring it on by", which I did. The guy went to the parking lot with me, helped me take the recliner out of my truck, flip it on its side, he gave me his expert advice, then we went inside and he gathered everything I needed.
