We absolutely loved our say here! It's on the strip, but because it's not RIGHT in the middle, it has a nice elevated ambiance to it (i.e. not full of drunk 22 year olds). The pool deck is gorgeous, peaceful and quiet for the most part (although some of the pools have a bit more action). It is shared with the Venetian and there are over 1/2 dozen pools to choose from.
The rooms are some of the nicest (if not THE nicest) on the strip. Every room is a suite with a sunken living room, HUGE bathroom, and very nicely appointed. I am typically hard to impress in this area, but they really did not skimp on the accommodations. There are more shops and restaurants than you could imagine or see in a week. They have an entire mall on the second level.
The casino is relatively small by comparison to some of the other hotels I visited, but it has a nice ambiance. You can also walk down the hall to the Venetian casino which is bigger and has a more busy vibe. I was disappointed with the video poker. There is not a single JoB machine with a 9/6 payout scheme. In fact, I came across several with 6/5. Come on Palazzo, you can do better than that. People that know what they are doing are not going to play with 6/5 payouts. You are alienating people who know what they are doing by not having a single machine with decent odds among the mix of money suckers for suckers ;) Consequently, I had to spend all of my money across the street at TI where they have 9/6 machines. Would love to be able to just go downstairs to gamble though.
Antonio at check-in was amazing by the way. He really got our stay off to a good start! I will definitely stay here again!
