This restaurant was recommended to us by the clerk at True Value. We had just arrived from 4 months in NC and 8 days on the road. We hadn't had good Mexican food since leaving California in August 2017.
The food and flavors were excellent. The service was very attentive. I had the Chile verde. The Pork was tender and not dry and verde was perfectly spicy. My husband had his favorite Chile relleno and was not disappointed. We had a choice of beans and the rice was flavorful. Fresh flour tortillas with the meal.
The only disappointment for me was the flan I have made flan many times and always love the tenderness of the custard and the caramel "sauce". This flan was dry and they use chocolate sauce.
We ordered out on a second visit and my husband had the carnitas. Very generous portion. The meat was excellent. I ordered a Chile verde burrito and was disappointed as I had expected pork Chile verde and it was ground beef in a verde sauce. I don't remember seeing the description of the burrito and may have just ordered it without looking. I'll be more specific next time or choose something else.
Looking forward to our next visit.
