I've always been a fan of Costco. The idea of going to one location and having the ability to buy everything (I really do mean everything) makes grocery shopping a less painful task. From a large variety of books, dvds, clothing to groceries and baked goods - all in bulk -makes this a place a shopping haven. Move over Superstore, you ain't got nothing on this bad boy.
My only rant about shopping here is the amount of time I spend there. It's like planning a trip to the zoo. You'll have to allocate x number of hours to be able to enjoy the store to its maximum. There is no such thing as 'making a quick stop at Costco.' No, no. Regardless of the time of day, day of the week, there will inevitably be an anaconda of a line up at the register. It's just that great. Not to mention there are way too many things to look at. And of course, the samples! Those things will tie you down for at least an hour.
I must confess, the one thing that keeps me going back is the poutine. It's absolutely amazing. The gravy is the perfect level of saltiness, the fries are crispy and the cheese is half melted by the warmth of the gravy. That followed by a mixed berry sundae is a heart attack waiting to happen. But at least you'd die happy. And full!
