  • Okay, you ready for this one? My boyfriend...loves sushi! Me...let's just say I've had my issues with experiencing sushi but I wished I liked it because I know it is good for you and it looks amazing. So, of course being adventurous people we decide to branch out and try a new restaurant. When you pull into the parking lot it is tucked away in the corner so make sure you do not miss it. You walk in and you get this great small business feel to it. The best way to describe its ambiance is that it is a cozy, average-lit, clean, modernized sushi hole in the wall! Love it! We were sat up at the sushi bar which probably holdds around 15-20 people max. (see picture) Along the wall there were around 5 small tables and in the back there is a private 'party' room. (See picture) We were automatically brought water, and served small plates with fresh wasabi and sliced ginger as well as given soy dipping dishes. we decided to order a cold sake and it was recommended by our waiter (good choice). My boyfriend is the sushi expert and decides to just pick a few random things for us to share. We had the spicy tuna roll (the only one I did not try), the octopus, the eel, the yellowtail, sea urchin, spicy scallop hand roll and escolar. Let me tell you...wow!! The seafood was really very fresh. The escolar was my favorite or as the awesome sushi-ya (Zach) put it baby dolphin! LOL. I told him they should put that up on their specials board. Have it read: fresh flipper rolls! Oh, and by the way, they have live shrimp that you can eat after watching them prepare it to special standards! (see picture) So, back to the quality of the food. The only comment my boyfriend really had was about their octopus. He was expalining to me the difference between good octopus and bad...it's the texture and firmness of it. The food looked beautiful and tasted very clean and elegant. I most definately seeing us coming back here again. Especially to talk more about baby dolphins being freshly clubbed daily with Zach! :) Thank you for making our evening very fun and very special! I will remember this sushi moment forever!
