One week ago:
Signed papers for a storage unit.
Was told I could buy my own lock.
Bought my own lock.
Today:
6:30 am came to the storage facility with everything I own in a moving truck with movers I was paying by the hour.
Walk up to storage unit- STILL HAD A PUBLIC STORAGE LOCK ON IT.
Had to wait until 9:30am when they opened.
Called their corporate line and was given the number for the district manager.
Called him about 17 times, no answer, and 10 hours later, no call back.
Other than the lovely woman who was helping to fill in this morning, this place is ridiculous. Cost me about $300 in extra moving fees and a missed flight because I had to wait. No where in the contract does it say I have to show you my lock before moving in. I paid for the unit, so take your lock off of it AS SOON AS I PAY FOR IT. It's none of your business when I move my stuff in. And you have no emergency phone line? Even my crappy apartment complex I just moved out of has an emergency line.
