| - The Kitchen Table is a grocery store with benefit of high convenience store prices. I wouldn't under any circumstances buy groceries here, but you need a handful of items and don't feel like walking to one of the four other grocery stores that are less than five minutes away, it will do. In the summer the line-ups can get really bad here since it's so close to the ferry docks.
The Kitchen Table carries pretty much everything that a regular grocery store does, but often a limited number of brands and smaller sizes. The produce and bread here is typically very good quality. Everything else here is hit and miss. On many occasions I've bought expired items here, even things you don't usually bother checking, such as tomato sauce. Be particularly weary of any sales they have, often the items on sale or near expiry or already expired. For whatever reason, the non-fresh goods (i.e. not produce, milk, bread, etc) tend to have the highest cost here.
Avoid it if you can, but if you're not up for a walk, check those labels!
