| - Holy shit... Thank you fellow yelpers for turning my head towards this place because honestly if I didn't find this place and tried out their food I would have been very disappointed. Reading other reviews, I found that this place was indeed a hideaway. This place has literally no sign and you basically have to walk by the door to know that it was there. Luckily, I found it with little to no problem. When walking in we just sat at the table that was closest to the door and got our happy hour drink as well as got our orders in.
Almost immediately I was eyeing the Pork Chop Chorizo. Pork Chops stuffed with chorizo?! Come on, this was one of the easiest ones to pick out. My friend was jealous that I was having tamales so for sure I picked an order of their special tamales to go along with my meal as an appetizer. Honestly, I was still sort of full from lunch, but I wasn't going to say no to dinner.
So for appetizers, I ordered the pork tamale, that was really tasty mixed with the green and red chile it just brings it over the top. For the entree, as said before I picked what I was eyeing. The Pork Chop Chorizo. Oh yeah, I thought it was stuffed pork chop with the chorizo inside and what came out was a complete surprise to me. They gave me two pork chops stacked and then the chorizo was sandwiched in between. The pork chop was flavored well too! It had a simple sweet glaze on top and then it was served on top of a green and red chile which then gave the overall dish a slow heat.
Overall, this place is a definite place to visit just for the ambiance, the decor, and the pork chops that I had. The tamale was simple, but the chile and how they prepared it gave that flavor and gave me an idea of how green chile should be prepared. Definitely recommend to check this place out and give a try if you're in looking for neat spots.
