  • Fancy jewelry stores make me nervous. They shouldn't, since I worked at a jewelry store through college, but Marlen was fantastic! I took my antique engagement ring to be sized and appraised. The gentleman there was very kind and thorough, and did not look askance at my terrible gym clothes outfit. The quoted price for service was much less than I had anticipated, with a three-day turnaround; and my ring came back fitting perfectly and even more sparkly than before! The clerk who gave me my ring back took the time to walk me through the fine points of the insurance appraisal. I initially chose Marlen because they were an independent jeweler and I was not interested in supporting the evil Sterling Corporation who owns all the big box jewelry chains. I fully recommend Marlen Jewelers for their service and care.
