| - I have to start by saying Dell does make a pretty good computer. That is where it ends, they do not give you all the CD-Roms you will need if you have to reboot everything. There is no costumer support, if you contact them with a problem they will tell you that you need to take your computer to a certified technician and you will have to buy the programs that your computer came with. You do not get any software licenses that you have purchased, you will continually receive reports that you need to update Microsoft software, like all computers, but with Dell you will be told that you do not have licenses on the software to update.
I purchased extra programs for my computer, but I had to take it to a technician within the first week to have these programs unlocked. They were not accessible until they were unlocked by a professional. I phoned Dell and was told that it was my computer now and if I wanted it to work as ordered and paid for then I would have to pay someone else to figure out how to unlock them. I am not computer illiterate, but I am not as good as most, my son-in-law looked over the report and said he could have unlocked some of these programs, but not all without receiving technical support. I have talked to people from three different computer repair shops and they all say the same thing, if a Dell Computer has a hardware problem, it is cheaper to buy a new one then to fix all the problems that the factory has done wrong in the first place.
Do not walk away from Dell, Run from this poorly run company.
