  • ***Update: Still love the sweets, customer service needs to be improved!*** I've been here a few times subsequent of their grand opening and at first, I thought they were working out their kinks. However, now they're just disorganised and can be rude, depending on who serves you. I took my friend here on a Saturday, early afternoon, and there was a bit of a line. There was a "take a number" system, as displayed on an electronic board, so we took a number. And they completely bypassed that system and just asked who was next. Completely inconsistent and confusing to the customer. Yesterday, I came in the evening, girl who served me was incredibly rude. I asked if a certain dessert, kept on the back counter, was similar to kenefeh, "No, completely different!" Umm...this is where anyone with a decent demeanor or sense of service would interject the difference between one thing versus another. Nope. I had to ask a follow-up question. I asked her for 1 piece of the Katayef...which, after tasting it, is quite similar to kenefeh BUT there are deep fried vermicelli noodles on top. Cheese is a slightly different texture, but again, very similar. When she packaged it up, there were 2 distinct pieces. I clarified myself and stated that I wanted 1 piece, not 2. And she snapped that it was 1 piece that she cut in 2 pieces. When I came home and took a picture, you can tell that it's not even cut from the same piece. Again, if you're a decent customer service person, you would just remove the extra piece that the customer never asked for! Again, no knock on the actual product, but they need to organise themselves and improve their customer service. Some of the workers are nice, but others are rude, and cashing out takes much longer than it should. Service is surprisingly better, more patient, nicer at their original Dundas Street location.
