  • This place is A-OK for me. Komex is generally a spot I visit when I specifically have the craving, but I feel like the quality has gone down significantly since they opened. The last 3 times I visited, the meat was bland and chewy. I also use to love the kim chi fried rice because it wasn't overly sour like some other places. The last 2 times I ordered it, it tasted bland and old. Even prior to those past visits, I still would've rated this place 3 stars. So what's up with the 2 stars? Well, we stopped in last week and tried to use Samsung Pay. I get it, it's still new so people are not familiar with it. The problem came when the owner refused to try it and began arguing with my boyfriend. I get that you don't want to use it, totally fine, but why put up such an argument. He could've just said no and asked for another form of payment rather than immediately making an issue out of it. I've always has such a pleasant experience with the owners in the past that this reaction was extremely off putting. Needless to say, we wont be back.
