  • I went here recently to have a family members device (Nintendo 3DS) fixed. I figured I'd try supporting a new local business instead of sending out the item for repair. The staff here is extremely kind and professional, but unfortunately lacks in communication. I dropped off my device for repair on a Saturday (7/23/2016) morning and received a call later that day that my device had been fixed. I show up that Saturday evening at 6PM and the doors were locked shut and the lights off (their website says they are open until 7PM on Saturdays and their door at the business says this as well). Very frustrating considering I drove from the west side of Madison during a storm to get there. I end up coming in the following Monday morning since they are closed on Sundays. Upon them showing me my "fixed" device, the exact same issue appeared (broken right bumper button). They claimed they had fixed it on the day I dropped it off, but apparently not. They tell me that they'll call me later in the day after they figure out the fix for it (Monday still). Later in the day they call me and tell me that it cannot be fixed due to an internal stripped screw, but that I will not be charged since they did not fix anything. I come back Tuesday morning when they open, and the manager (I think), tries to charge me for a repair even though they did not fix the device and the employee who called me the day before told me that they would not charge me for the repair. In the end, I made three trips to the store due to them... 1.(Saturday)Closing early (without any sign or notification to me on the day they left me a voice message regarding the repair being completed) 2.(Monday) Coming in to pick up my device which ended up not being repaired even though they called and said it was. 3. (Tuesday) To pick up the device and they tried charging me even though the employee on the phone said that there would be no charge due to the device not being fixed. With all of the handheld device repair shops in the area, I will be going elsewhere in the future. The initial experience the first time I walked in was great, but after that it was all downhill.
