  • We stayed here homecoming weekend in October 2015 and were less than impressed. I booked months ahead of time and there were only king suites available. There were 3 of us in one room, so we figured we could utilize the pull out couch as another sleeping place. Boy, were we wrong. The pull out couch mattress (if you can even call it that) is about 3 inches thick. It is awful. When you move around on it, it squeaks and it is incredibly uncomfortable. They only give you a top sheet and a very rough comforter to use with that bed. When we asked for a better one at the front desk, they said they were "all out". I get that the hotel was booked, but you really only have JUST enough comforters for each hotel room? You don't have 3-4 extras? Come on. Also, the rooms do not have mini fridges, which I've come to expect as standard in a hotel room. The hotel has a microwave that you can use, but you have to ask staff to use it. They do not have any sort of plates they can offer you, so if you have a styrofoam to go container, you're SOL. Additionally, we asked for cups and they couldn't offer us anything better than the cheap cups in the room or coffee mugs that the front desk clerk had to "wash out" before she gave to us (do they just have a collection of dirty mugs sitting around?) There is a small area where they sell water and pop, but they were out of diet pop on Saturday night. When we asked the front desk about it, they said the shipment comes tomorrow. Don't you think a hotel would arrange to have a sufficient selection of beverages for their busiest night? The rooms were clean enough to the naked eye, and the regular beds were fine. Overall, the experience was mediocre at best and I will not be coming back. We chose this hotel because it was the best price we could find available when we booked months in advance. Even so, it was $225/night for homecoming weekend. Geesh
