I recently took my car here to inspect the cause of my maintenance required light that had been flashing for a good week or so. I'll go ahead and humble myself by admitting that I know little to nothing about cars, aside from the absolute basics (flames shooting out of hood = probably not a good sign).
That being said, I brought my car in and explained the nature of my problem. I was immediately told (without any actual inspection of said problem) that it was due to needing an oil change, despite the fact that my car has a separate light that flashes when it needs one. I explained my rationale and was quickly scoffed at and patronized for not knowing anything about cars, which I gladly conceded to.
In the end, my car DID need an oil change, which they completed quickly and relatively inexpensively. While the process was pretty painless, I was made to feel uncomfortable/retarded/like a pain in the ass for asking the questions that I felt were fairly reasonable. I wish I could give this place a higher rating, but they simply don't stack up to some of the other mechanics I've seen elsewhere. Ah well, looks like I'll just have to keep on searching in Pittsburgh!
