  • If you wind up in Lefty's, you are looking for a dive. If you want some hipster pub, this ain't your place. Lefty's is one of the last dives you'll find on the strip. Showed up on a Tuesday night about mindnite after sandwiches Primanti's around the corner. Ole Lefty's was packed with a mixed crowd, black, white, younger and older. We got frisked by a gigantic bouncer -- no guns and knives allowed in this place that is a small rectangle. You can smoke here, too, and I think everyone was. If that pisses you off, well, don't come with you holier-than-thou preaching. Some young chicks grinding on each other, and the dudes at the bar didn't really give a flying fudge what was going on.There was some super loud gangsta rap playing, MF this, MF that. Finally that bartender turned it down as the drinks on the bar were vibrating, much to the chagrin of one of the grinding girls who yelled, "Turn that MF-ing music back up." That barkeep didn't blink and just yelled back, "No f-ing way. I can't hear worth a shit." That got everyone laughing. We polished off a few gin and tonics before heading home. This place is a tradition.
