| - Who doesn't know Zipps? Usually it's a fun and casual place to hang with friends or family to watch sports or just hang with your peeps. Now the Zipps in my neighborhood, the staff is very friendly, interactive, and accommodating. This experience was by far the worst ever in my book almost!
The moment we walked in, the server with short and what looked to be grey hair greeted us and asked what kind of drinks we'd like. I asked if they carried Prosecco and the server said, "the menu is right there and that's all we have". I looked over the bar and seen a full bar and asked her again. At this point a normal server would have asked the bar if they weren't sure. So I just said I'd wait until my other friend gets to the table to order. She then rolled her eyes and left.
About 15-20 minutes later, my friend has been here waiting to ask for a water and I wanted to get a fountain drink. A new server came by and asked if we have been helped. I told her we have been waiting to put the rest of our order in but our serve has not returned. She then took out order.
I asked for a pizza with mushrooms and jalapeños and my friends ordered salads. When our food came, I had no jalapeños but onions instead. I had to wait again for a while for her to come back. We were watching her going from three other tables then finally waved her down. Usually when a server drops food on the table, a good server would check to she how everything is in case something is wrong. After waving her down she asked another server to get my pizza off the table. The correct pizza came out faster than the first so that was great because I was starving at this point.
We finished out food pretty fast and needed to order food to go. Again waiting and waiting for her to swing by. We had to get her attention it again. We asked if we can place a order to go and she just stands there with her pen staring. No interaction like, 'What May I get for you.'
At this point my friend also asked for the check after putting in the to go because if not, we would be here all night due to her lack of attention to her tables. After taking the to go she left with dishes we had on our table. As we continued to carry out conversation about my best friend wedding l, we also discussed how rude this server was to us. We get our check and she charged us for the mess up with the pizza. When I brought it to her attention, she insisted she didn't charge us until my friend mom pointed it out in the receipt. Dolores (the server we had), replies "Oh, I forgot to remove that" and leaves. We waited a while and she comes back with this response "There's nothing in here". We are like confused. She ran off to correct the receipt and comes back aggressively that our card wasn't in there? How about, " I am so sorry about that but I fixed it" the show us.
After my friends mom give their server the book with the method of payment, we were rudely interrupted by the server slamming the credit card book on the table and left. We were all amazed with this servers attitude. We were going to leave it until she slams the book down. Not even an apology once more to show she gives a shit about our experience and a have a nice day or thanks for coming.
She obviously either hates her job, life, or has issues but leave that crap at the door! Thank God I don't live on this side of town because of I did, I'd never be back here.
We did speak to the manager Anthony and he even noticed her attitude. I will not be back her. If you dine here, be sure to sit wherever Dolores isn't serving unless you don't mind shorty service.
If i had the option of leaving no stars and a sad face I would! The one star is for the only person who had a smile on as we left which was from the hostess and for Anthony checking on us as he noticed our demeanor. What an unbelievable experience!
