My party and I opted to have breakfast here after seeing the wait at The Coffee Cup. Make no mistake, it was busy but there wasn't a crowd of people milling around outside. Service was a little spotty, I am guessing due to the business. The waitress who took our drink orders seemed a little frazzled and unfocused. Our main waitress however was friendly and efficient. I had the chicken fried steak. My husband tried their daily special, the philly omelet. One of the other members of our party got the "big dam breakfast". The food came out in a reasonable amount of time, much quicker than what I expected given how busy the restraunt was. The portions were huge and the food was delicious. I wouldn't say that chicken fried steak is one of my favorite breakfasts. As a matter of a fact I have only had it a handful of times in my life, but every now and again I feel the call of my southern roots. This was far and away the best chicken fried steak I have ever had. The gravy which I often find to be bland was very flavorful. The steak was tender and the breading crispy. I would, and probably will go back for it. A couple of tips, go early. There wasn't a crowd milling around when we arrived but there was one when we left. Portions are huge, even though the prices are very reasonable if you aren't a big eater they are definately sharable.
